Made from earthenware this self-watering pot makes orchid care a little easier with a nylon wick that draws water from the pot's base and up into the soil when needed. Thirsty flowers rejoice! Made in Denmark. Essential Details: Made from nylon plastic earthenware Measurements 5.9" H x 7" dia.; 2.5 lbs. Notes: Before planting In the bottom of the orchid pot is a plastic disc with three nylon wicks for drawing up water from the outer bowl. It is possible to buy new wicks. The wicks can easily be replaced by fitting new wicks in the hole in the top part of the pot. Planting Carefully remove the plant from the plastic pot and shake the roots free of earth. Place the orchid in the self- watering pot and cover the roots with the orchid mixture. Shake the roots slightly so the earth settles. Orchid roots need air so let them protrude slightly.
